Tality 10 Gigabit Ethernet MAC Key to MAN Solution
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 2002--Tality
Corporation today announced Mindspeed Technologies(TM), the Internet
infrastructure business of Conexant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNXT - news), has
licensed its 10 Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC) IP. It
will be used throughout Mindspeed as the basis for their
next-generation 10 Gigabit systems. Industry experts Gartner, Inc.
expect Ethernet to become the dominant Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)
technology, approaching $50 billion worldwide by 2005.

The Tality roadmap includes development of a 10 Gigabit SerDes as

Gigabit Ethernet Alliance and a voting member of the IEEE 802.3ae
